Welcome to our P4/5 Pages, we are all Excited to begin a New School Year
It was lovely to greet everyone on Tuesday, and see so many happy, smiling faces. The children had a great day getting used to new routines and playing together.
We helped Mrs Currie in the Poly tunnel
We Have Been Exploring the Woodland
We used the new path to go to the woodland with Mrs White, Mrs Bruce and Mrs Currie. We can walk across the school field and behind a few houses to get to the woodland safely.
We are Learning about the Advantages and Disadvantages of Land Use and Development in the Countryside.
We became developers with big ideas for our woodland and the fields opposite school. We gave presentations to the class to persuade them that it's a good idea to build on the land.
There were a lot of objections - even thought the fancy swimming pool park sounded great fun! One group wanted to build a huge shopping centre. We decided it wasn't good for the environment to have such busy, noisy places in our lovely rural community!
Symmetry in the Playground.
Traffic Survey for John Muir Award
Maths - Measure in the Environment
RSPB and John Muir Awards - we did a litter pick, and found alot more rubbish than we expected!
Drama in the Woods!!
Everyone created little dramas based around things found in the woods, and had lots of fun!
Our Art Based on British Artists
We were looking at the work of David Hockney and LS Lowry, we drew pictures in their individual styles and are very proud of our efforts!
